Portworx requires the underlying hardware to have support for minimum CPU Instructions set such as SSE4_2 or SSE4.2 and MMX.
For Example, the CPU such as Intel® Xeon® CPU X7460 @ 2.66GHz. does not have the required CPU instruction set SSE4_2 or SSE4.2. This is a Q3 2008 release.
Whereas a later generation CPU from Intel, Intel® Xeon® CPU E5-2450L 0 @ 1.80GHz does have the required CPU instruction set to run Portworx. This a Q2 2012 release.
