Does ApplicationBackup use group volume snapshots?

Hello,

I’m using the ApplicationBackup CRD to backup an entire namespace as documented in
https://docs.portworx.com/portworx-install-with-kubernetes/storage-operations/stateful-applications

I want to check if ApplicationBackup uses a group snapshot of all volumes in a namespace, rather than individual volume snapshots. We need a group volume snapshot to ensure data consistency. Thanks.

Hi @henrychi,

You should be able to accomplish that by using the pre-exec rule that we talked about to quiesce IOs /or flush data from the apps. The ApplicationBackup will take snapshot of all the volumes in the namespace you are backing up.
