Need Help with Portworx Volume Snapshots

I am currently working with Portworx and am encountering some issues with volume snapshots that I hope someone here might be able to help with.

We are using Portworx in a Kubernetes environment, and we’ve set up snapshots for our critical volumes to ensure data protection. However, I’ve noticed that some of the snapshots aren’t being created consistently. Specifically, the snapshots for certain volumes fail intermittently with an error indicating a timeout or a connection issue.

I’ve double-checked the configuration and resource allocation, but everything seems to be in order. I’m wondering if there are any common pitfalls or known issues with snapshot creation that I might be missing. Are there any recommended best practices for ensuring reliable snapshot creation or troubleshooting steps I could follow?

  1. How are you creating the volume snapshots?
  2. Output of the errors you are receiving
  3. Are you using the CSI or legacy Portworx provider?
  4. Version of Portworx you are using
