We are super excited to announce the latest version of Portworx CSI (PX CSI 25.2.0) is now Generally Available. This latest version of Portworx CSI delivers support for following features in Pure Flash Arrays and Flash Blades.
- FADA Raw Block (RWX): Enables live migration of KubeVirt based virtual machines between worker nodes in a K8s cluster.
- FADA Encryption: Enables encryption of data in transit and at rest on the persistent storage (the destination block device (LUN) on FA).
- FADA NVMe/TCP (IPv4): Customers can use NVMe/TCP to connect to the FADA volumes on FA using existing ethernet infrastructure to enable faster access to data with lower latency.
- Secure Boot: PX CSI now supports secure boot mode.

Upgrade Recommendations
- PX CSI 25.2.0 is the follow up release to PX CSI 25.1.0. Customers running PX CSI 25.1.0 can upgrade to PX CSI 25.2.0 per the instructions found here.
- Please continue to follow manual runbook driven approach for migrating customer clusters running older versions of PX-CSI (PX-CSI 3.x) to PX-CSI 25.x.0.
Caveats
- FADA NVMe/TCP support is currently available only for IPv4. Support for IPv6 will be available in a subsequent PX CSI release.
