Announcing the general availability of Portworx CSI 26.2.1 – a new version of the CSI driver that includes several features and capabilities.
- NVMe over Fibre Channel (NVMe-oF FC) support - Enables Kubernetes applications to leverage the performance of FlashArray, delivering lower latency, higher throughput, and greater efficiency while preserving existing Fibre Channel infrastructure and operations.
- Dynamic credential rotation for px-pure-secret - No need to restart the controller plugin when editing the PX Pure secret, which offers better integration with the Vault Secrets Operator (VSO) Operator.
- Dynamic QoS and tag modification using VolumeAttributesClass - Aligned with the CSI spec. Enables dynamic update of QoS settings associated with FlashArray volumes.
- Custom tags for FlashArray block volumes - Helps customers identify volumes by workload, cluster or other meaningful attributes.
- Volume resource-only backup and restore with Portworx Backup - Backup & restore of Kubernetes cluster metadata (no data involved) through PX-Backup
Usage Instructions
- Generate a PX-CSI spec through PX Central, then use the installation guide or upgrade guide from the Portworx CSI documentation.
