Portworx Backup 3.1.1 is now GA

Hello Everyone,

We are excited to announce that Portworx Backup 3.1.1 is now Generally Available!

This patch release extends CloudSnap-based backup and restore support for enhanced FlashArray/FlashBlade driver based volumes, improving data protection continuity for customers using Portworx Enterprise storage integrations. It also includes reliability fixes and is released with Stork 26.4.1.

Key features

  • CloudSnap backup and restore for enhanced FlashArray/FlashBlade driver based volumes: Portworx Backup now supports CloudSnap-based backup, restore, and delete workflows for direct-access volumes when the enhanced FlashArray/FlashBlade driver is enabled.
  • Improved backup and restore reliability: Backup and restore requests for direct-access volumes are now resolved and handled consistently across the application cluster, improving recovery workflows for these volumes.
  • Improved cleanup and lifecycle handling: Temporary resources created during backup and restore operations are cleaned up reliably, including after retries and terminal operation states.

These are the highlights of Portworx Backup 3.1.1. The release also includes additional fixes and documentation updates captured in the release notes linked below.
